Bluewolf Helps Blue Star Families Train Military Spouses in Salesforce

May 24, 2016

Blue Star Families, in partnership with Clinton Health Matters Initiative, Salesforce Academic Alliance, and Bluewolf are providing an innovative eight week SpouseForce training program to train military spouses to use Salesforce software. SpouseForce provides free training (valued at $5,000) to military spouses with the aim of providing them with a skill that will enable them to find broader career opportunities in today’s digital economy.

Educated Salesforce administrators are in high demand thanks to the popularity of Salesforce software. Because of the prevalence of cloud technology, specifically Salesforce’s use to drive business outcomes, training in these skills can open doors for high-paying opportunities, regardless of a family’s frequent relocation. The SpouseForce program offers hands-on experience as well as professional development opportunities.

Recently recognized by the Obama administration, Blue Star Families’ Careers Program Manager, Amy Botranger, was invited to the White House to share the important work of the program. The White House event celebrated the success of the Joining Forces initiative where President Obama challenged the private sector to hire more veterans. In response, over 1.2 million veterans and spouses were hired or trained and event attendees pledged to hire another 110,000 veterans in the next five years. Blue Star Families pledged to train 100 military spouses and caregivers through the SpouseForce program.

As a Global Strategic Salesforce Partner with over 15 years of experience, Bluewolf is a devoted partner of Salesforce Academic Alliance, which connects non-profit organizations to reputable training resources. Along with SpouseForce, Bluewolf has provided our established training program to veterans through VetForce.

We’ve seen the incredible value that people with diverse backgrounds bring to the cloud. We recognize that in providing training and skills to military communities, the value of their life experiences and knowledge is returned back into our Salesforce and technology communities when these newly-trained members enter a phase of their careers. In this way, training the everyday heroes of our military members and their families creates a cycle of value and knowledge sharing that drives innovation and business outcomes.

Many heroes over the years have voiced the thought: “I could not have done it without the support of my family.” Our military’s success is based on the support and sacrifice provided by military families. Blue Star Families understands these sacrifices, and we’re proud to partner with them to provide military families the resources to make their lifestyle more sustainable.
