There are new dynamics at work that are changing the game entirely and re-shaping the traditional public vs. private vs. hybrid cloud debate. A "new" hybrid cloud is emerging on which organisations should instead be focusing their efforts in 2015 - hybrid public cloud platform as a service (PaaS) + software as a service (SaaS).
With traditional hybrid cloud, an enterprise has the ability to select either a private cloud or public cloud infrastructure to deploy enterprise applications and move workloads from one another to handle special circumstances. In other scenarios, organisations use public clouds for temporary or special purpose needs, such as application testing, data analysis, or even disaster recovery.
In past debates, hybrid cloud has come out on top as a better alternative than public or private cloud alone, as it addresses more use cases with greater flexibility and lower costs. So is hybrid cloud the answer for the future? In my opinion, no. Here's why.
