Why I Work at Bluewolf

September 26, 2012

There’s not a day that goes by when someone doesn’t ask me why I work at Bluewolf. My answer varies based on the moment the question is asked and what kind of day it’s been. But, inevitably, the answer typically involves something about the people. I know it’s cliché, but it’s the truth.

I work at Bluewolf because when we see each other at client sites, events, or off-site meetings, people genuinely get excited to see each other. There’s that feeling of seeing a friend that you haven’t seen in forever.

I work at Bluewolf because our leadership team is bold enough to strive for profitable growth (e.g. recently acquiring a company in Australia), when others in our space have sold out and become swallowed by other organizations outside of the salesforce.com community.

I work at Bluewolf because our co-founder, Eric Berridge, ALWAYS has the most entertaining and thought-provoking session at Dreamforce. He takes the phrase “let’s shake things up” to a whole new level every year, and I love it.

I work at Bluewolf because of our clients, and the relationships we have with them. Even clients that haven’t been invoiced for consulting work in 6 years still find time to seek our team out. There’s a true sense of camaraderie.

I work at Bluewolf because we’re not afraid to be provocative.

I work at Bluewolf because we are excellent at what we do. And if we fall short, we do right by our clients, we try to take responsibility and move on.

I work at Bluewolf because although we are almost totally disconnected from each other (11 offices/3 continents), there’s not one person “in the pack” who wouldn’t take the hill for someone else.

I work at Bluewolf because more than 7 years ago during my interview I told Eric I wanted to work for the best.

And that’s why I’m still here.
