Percentages are climbing. In fact recent reports from a talent research firm indicated companies are hungry for cloud computing hires. In fact the need for cloud computing expertise has been reported to be increasing "61 percent year over year."
The report notes that in the past 3 months, more than 2,400 companies, some represented by search firms, advertised over 10,000 jobs requiring cloud computing skills and experience. Computer specialists and programmers are most commonly required to have cloud computing experience.
In order to remain competitive in an economically tenuous environment, companies are ratcheting up their attempt to be more cost effective and they have found that working in the cloud offers this opportunity. They also intend to out pace the market trends. To do that staff that is cloud prepared can hit the ground running. Companies are not looking to train employees twice; once to acclimate to the company's dynamics, twice to become familiar with cloud technology.
