Harper Reed, CTO of the Obama for America 2012 Campaign, is not only an engaging speaker but has an inspiring story to tell, especially if you are a salesforce.com customer. 

The Obama for America 2012 Campaign relied heavily upon Salesforce. Members of the campaign’s technical team, including Bluewolf’s own Edward Schlicksup, have been traveling around the globe sharing their stories of rapid scaling and innovation using Salesforce.

Building Scalability and Resilience in the Cloud

David Harrison, Vice President of Engineering at Freelancer.com, will be sharing an Amazon Web Services story. Anyone with a migration to a public cloud planned for 2013 has something to learn from David.
 
Freelancer.com has been running on Amazon’s public cloud since 2009. Taking advantage of Amazon’s infrastructure as a service offering to minimize investment in infrastructure. Harrison estimates that just ".001 per cent" of [Freelancer.com’s] systems are outside of the cloud, "sitting around doing some very old stuff for us...” They are not a fledgling startup either, the site has more than 7.4 million users and more that 200 projects created everyday.
