With the constant growth of technology and Generation Y taking over the work place, employees are now more tech dependent than ever before, both at home and work. There is no question that technology is taking over the way we communicate in everyday life, but also transforming the way we do business.
The IDC found that 95% of tech workers use their personal devices at work. Employees now expect access to their personal devices in the workplace while businesses expect their employees to be connected and responsive anytime and anywhere. This means that companies must welcome the integration of personal and corporate gadgets. While this notion may have IT cringing, it’s becoming more and more apparent that a successful company should not restrict people’s access to personal communication. Rather, organizations should intertwine the two so that all can be accessed in one easy sweep.
