IDC's Quick Take

On March 31, 2016, IBM announced plans to acquire Bluewolf Group LLC, one of the leading global providers dedicated to Salesforce-related consulting and implementation services. IBM has been behind many competitors in the Salesforce space, but with this acquisition, it acquires a highly valued group of professionals and clients, while extending reach into the expanding salesforce.com ecosystem.
