Life in the Pack: Jason Talis

March 18, 2016

At Bluewolf, we’re passionate about finding answers for our clients, but what makes us different than other consulting agencies is our Pack. We value personalities that don’t fit molds, people both interested and interesting, a diverse group who bring a variety of skills, backgrounds, and perspectives to the table. It takes an amazing team to do what we do. To give you a behind-the-scenes look at what makes Bluewolf great, we’re kicking off our blog series “Life in the Pack.” Here we’ll introduce a few members of our Pack and uncover what a career at Bluewolf means to them.

Introducing Jason Talis

Jason Talis is a technical architect. He’s also a bowler and a rock climber (inspired by Alex Honnold). He can jam on guitar, banjo, mandolin, and drums. He jokes that he went to New York University and got his degree in computer science just in case his career as a rockstar didn’t pan out.

Now, his daily work may not include musical instruments, but he’s still a rockstar (of development). His team works on developing the Bluewolf product, ALM. This application is used to manage the software development life cycle on Force, including tools for project management, testing, and release management. Jason says his days consist of a variety of development work, coordinating with designers, programming, and completing any final items on a project’s agenda. Then he plans out how to tackle the next cycle of development.

Jason entered his current role in 2014 after being a director on our Bluewolf Beyond managed service team. On working at Bluewolf, he says his favorite part of coming to work every day is “the collaborative culture and the people.” He lists his biggest accomplishment in his career as “getting to help grow our development organization from a local team of two in the New York office to a national team of over 20 developers.”

Final advice from this NYU grad: his favorite tourist spot is Union Square. He also recommends the falafel cart on 28th Street to fellow employees and those new to New York.
