How we turned IT gridlock into innovation

February 25, 2013

End users are constantly calling for changes, all of which are deemed urgent. The backlog keeps growing. Meanwhile, management has re-prioritized initiatives and now there is a new project due next month. Everything else is on-hold. Salesforce.com has just issued a new release, but there is no time to review the changes and convert custom code into native functionality.

If this sounds like your company, don't worry. These are typical scenarios. I was in the same position several years ago before I found out about Bluewolf Beyond. With Beyond, I instantly had access to Salesforce developers, configuration experts, solution architects, business analysts, and many more individuals with the essential skill-sets my company had been lacking. The choice was easy—I engaged Bluewolf Beyond immediately.

In the first 45 days of the Bluewolf Beyond program, I worked alongside my Beyond Delivery Manager to create a governance model and a release management process. I was able to "stop the bleeding" because Bluewolf completed many of the open requests that had been on the backlog for months.

End users were excited about the burst of progress, and management started seeing Salesforce as a key part of bringing strategy to life. After a few small, successful releases I shifted to larger initiatives. With Bluewolf Beyond, we were able to optimize a software distribution process, deploy a marketing automation tool, and execute a massive data clean-up. As a result, the business got happier and I was suddenly a rockstar!
