The Eloqua Road to Revenue Tour: 3 Key Takeaways

April 26, 2012

Bluewolf recently sponsored Eloqua’s Road to Revenue tour in New York for the first time. The road-show event is structured around many great sessions led by marketing experts that discuss current trends in the industry. One group discussion that really struck a chord with me focused on leveraging social media tools and technology to aid your business objectives. Talk about a hot topic right now!

Here are 3 key takeaways:

  • It’s no secret that social media has become a key business tool. Here at Bluewolf we believe that by marketing yourself via social networks, you are building your personal brand (thereby raising a company's total brand). What are some unique ways you can do this? A perfect example of this is found in our Pack Profiles - where we put all of our employees (our assets) front and center on our website.
  • In the new era of networking, swapping business cards has turned into a request for LinkedIn connections, Twitter handles and Google+ invititations. By not taking advantage of every possible channel to communicate with colleagues and customers, you could miss out on new opportunities to insert your brand into the conversation.
  • Pinterest continues to grow its audience, but it’s important to consider it as a viable marketing tool (yes – it can be used for more than pinning recipes and puppies!). It’s another great marketing tool for companies. It is such a simple way to post visual information to show your message, goals, and interests while continuing to increase your social audience.

Just remember that no matter the social network you are utilizing, the end goal is to share your voice, provide information of value, and to have fun with it.
